A Monday afternoon house fire broke out in North Waco, leaving four people and their pets homeless.

The blaze broke out in the 2700 block of Parrott Avenue, a little before 4 p.m. Flames destroyed a camper, parked outside the house, and caused extensive damage to the house. Authorities say the family was at home at the time of the fire, but everyone managed to get out safely.

At this time, officials believe the fire was electrical, but investigation is on-going.
