WACO - MLK Blvd under I-35 near mile marker 335 is closed to both eastbound and westbound traffic. The closure is expected to be complete by December 23, 2013. The closure is needed to allow crews to improve the crossing prior to beginning construction on Loop 574, which will serve the new Baylor stadium.

Westbound Traffic: Traffic wishing to cross to the west under I-35 at MLK will detour to the northbound access road, use the turnaround south of the railroad and return southbound on the frontage road to MLK.

Eastbound Traffic: Traffic wishing to cross to the east under MLK will detour to the southbound access road, cross the bridge over the Brazos River, exit to University Parks, take the turnaround to return north across the bridge, and exit 335C to MLK Blvd.

TEMPLE —Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, November 18, the 3rd St. bridge over I-35 on the north side of Temple will be closed permanently in preparation for demolition.

The detour will begin at Exit #304 off of southbound I-35, and traffic will cross east onto the northbound frontage road.

Signs will be in place to guide drivers to 3rd St.

Local travelers familiar with the area will be able to access 3rd St. by staying on the southbound frontage road and taking Industrial Blvd. to 3rd St.
