Killeen PD investigating early morning shooting

The Killeen Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting on Old 440 Drive.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting at 3:54 a.m., Friday morning, in the 1200 block of Valentine Drive. Upon their arrival, they found a man who had been shot in the legs while he was a passenger in a black BMW.

Witnesses told the officers the BMW was stopped at the intersection of Old FM 440 and Jasper Road preparing to turn east onto Jasperwhen a small dark colored pickup pulled up beside the BMW on the driver’s side. Shortly, thereafter, the occupant in the pickup began shooting at the BMW.

Several shots were fired until the BMW turned onto Valentine Drive and the pickup continued north on Old FM 440.

Once the BMW turned onto Valentine  and stopped, is when the man realized he had been shot.

He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was not injured in this incident.

There is no further description on the suspects at this time.
