Killeen PD makes illegal gambling arrests

On October 2, members of the Killeen Police North Precinct Special Investigation Division executed search warrants at 4201 East Rancier Suite 109 and suite 111, The Booze Box store and Gateway Food Mart.

Complaints of illegal gambling had been reported at the businesses. Undercover Officers investigating the complaints were able to confirm illegal gambling machines were operating in the businesses and both businesses were profiting from the illegal activity. Search and arrest warrants were obtained and executed on the businesses. Gambling devices and $37,000 dollars were seized as a result of the search warrants.

Sagar Khatri, 27, and Clara Guzman, 55, both of Killeen were arrested for Keeping a Gambling Place, Gambling Promotion and Possession of Gambling Paraphernalia.

More arrest are expected to be made in conjunction with this investigation.

All charges are Class “A” misdemeanors prosecuted by the Bell County County Court.
