Killeen PD seeks help in identifying burglary suspect

The Killeen Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance to identify the male involved in a burglary of a local dollar store.

Officers responded to a 911 call on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11:15pm, in reference to a burglary alarm at the Dollar General Store located at 1303 E. Rancier Ave. Upon the officer’s arrival, they found the front glass door broken.

The officers checked the store for any suspects and found it clear. The suspect used a rock to strike the glass door; after two attempts, the glass shatters causing the entire panel to fall inwards to the floor.

The suspect made entry into the building and after a few seconds, he climbs out the door and flees in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male with cornrows, between 5’9” to 5’11” tall and weighing approximately 160 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a black t-shirt with red and white lettering on the front of it, faded blue denim shorts, and black and white tennis shoes.
