Killeen Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred in the 1300 block of West Highway 190 in the early evening hours on Sunday.

The Killeen Police Department received a 911 call at 6:31 p.m., on Sunday, April 28, advising them of a major crash that had just occurred on Highway 190 just west of 195. Upon the officer’s arrival, they found an overturned white Toyota 4Runner and one injured occupant.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the 4runner was traveling eastbound in the inside lane when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with the guardrail. This caused the front left wheel to detach, causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver, a 53-year-old Killeen woman, was transported to Scott and White Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

There were no other vehicles involved in this crash, and it continues to be investigated by the Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit. Information will be released as it becomes available.
