KPD continues hunt for Hooters robber

Killeen Police continue to search for suspect who robbed the Hooters Restaurant on August 17.

Officers responded to a report of an alarm at the Hooters Restaurant located at 1501 E. Central Texas Expressway, at 6:53am on Friday, August 17, 2012. Upon the officers arrival they found the manager locked in the freezer. The manager told the officers that he was in the parking lot walking to the restaurant in preparations for opening when an armed black male jumped the privacy fence on the west side of the parking lot and approached him. The manager was taken to the front of the business and was told to take the suspect to the office where the suspect took an unspecified amount of money. The suspect had the manager disarm the alarm then the he placed the manager inside the freezer and barricaded the door. The suspect fled out of the back door.

The suspect was wearing an aqua/teal green polo shirt with a long sleeve shirt underneath, black pants black and white shoes, solid black fitted hat and a gray mask.

The manager was unharmed during this incident and the officers were unable to locate the suspect in this robbery.
