Radio listeners in the Waco area may have noticed a change to a certain frequency on their dial.

This week, 94.5 - Waco’s only FM talk radio station - changed to a hip-hop format.

Management from 'The Beat' at 104.9 moved its programming to 94.5.

The owner of both KTBC and KWBT could not be reached for comment.

The change means Johnnie Bradshaw’s local country show The Texas Barn Dance and the weekly political show hosted by the Waco Tea Party is currently without a home.

Absolutely unbelievable format change ! I agree with Marumikey, this was Waco's only station for intelligent and informative content. ( aside from KWBU ). Dennis Millers show along with all the others will be sorely missed.
What a shame.

What a shame.

Market share or not,I think its terrible that this area's ONLY FM talk station gets knocked off air for a format that's available on other stations nearby!
