LaDainian Tomlinson at University High School during one of his clinics
WACO -- Fresh off announcing his retirement, Waco native and six-time All Pro NFL Running Back LaDainian Tomlinson stopped by University High School during one of his football clinics put on by the LT Preparatory Academy.
Today during a press conference Tomlinson spoke briefly about his decision to retire, saying he has simply "graduated" from football and that it is time to move on. But Tomlinson also kept his focus on his camps.
Now with more free time on his hands, he spoke about the academy and his hopes for it going into the future.
"We're providing a more comprehensive educational component to it to help these kids understand the process that it takes to get recruited and also to get to college and receive a scholarship," said Tomlinson.
Today was the last day of a two-day football clinic for students in grades 1-11.
