WACO -- After weeks of clean up and releasing water, the rest of the Lake Waco boat ramps are scheduled to reopen soon.
Next Tuesday, April 17th, Koehne Park and boat ramp, Lacey Point boat ramp and Midway boat ramp will be reopened.
Two weeks from now on Wednesday, April 25th Reynolds Creek boat ramp and Airport Park campground will be reopened.
The areas are clean now but the asphalt is still damp and not ready to be driven on.
"It takes two full weeks for that asphalt to dry out once it's been inundated with water. If you drive on it prior to that you can damage it because the base is soft underneath. And you know, if that asphalt gets damaged then conceivably some of these areas could be closed for a really long time," Elizabeth Anderson, Park Ranger said.
Park Rangers don't expect the rains this weekend will effect the openings. But we will know for sure Monday.
