Local man now facing murder charge after victim dies from attack
CENTRAL TEXAS -- A Hewitt man is now facing murder charges after the victim he's accused of attacking was taken off life-support and died at a local hospital.
30-year-old Clinton Douglas Mills is now charged with murder after 56-year old Matthew Ray Easley died Friday night at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.
On July 11, Easley was in his home in Robinson when Mills allegedly attacked him causing severe head injuries, leaving him unconscious and in critical condition.
Mills' bail for the murder charge is set at $500,000.
