Man arrested after attempting to ram three Waco police cars with his vehicle

Waco police have arrested a 24-year-old man after he tried to ram three squad cars with his vehicle.

Donshay D. Carmichael faces three charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer, reckless driving, evading arrest with a vehicle, and driving with an invalid license.

According to Sgt. Patrick Swanton with Waco Police Department, the incident happened in the 2900 block of Primrose after officers spotted Carmichael driving a vehicle. Police knew the 24-year-old did not have a valid driver's license and attempted to pull him over.

Carmichael tried to ram the three police cars with his vehicle but officers were able to avoid a collision. Carmichael then drove to his mothers house in the 3500 block of Daughtery where police later arrested him.

He is currently held at McLennan Country Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $239,000.
