A man is attacked and robbed by a group of people and now College Station Police are looking for those responsible.

We're told College Station Police responded to the College Station Medical Center to meet with an injured person Thursday night who claimed he was the victim of a robbery.

The victim stated that earlier that night, around 9:25 p.m., he was walking in the 300 block of College Main when he was approached by five to six males. The males surrounded the victim, and one of the males used physical force to steal property from the victim.

The victim was able flee the area but was later transported to The Med for treatment. The victim received non-incapacitating injuries and was released from the hospital later that night.

The suspects fled the scene prior to officers arrival and they were not located that night. The victim described the suspect that forcefully took property from him as:

• a black male
• late teens
• no shirt
• muscular build
