Waco, TX — It was once said that a dog biting a man is not news, but a man biting a dog is.
Well, we’ve got some news, and it’s not pretty.
Michael Terron Daniel, 23, pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges in court on Monday in Waco.
In June of 2012, Daniel, while high on synthetic marijuana, struck his own family's dog, strangled it and then proceeded to bite it repeatedly.
He was reportedly covered in blood when officers arrived.
Jury selection and testimony started Tuesday in the 19th District Court in Waco.
Daniels could face up to two years in state jail.
