Man charged in Waco double murder committed an assault crime hours before

The man charged with in the Waco double murder is facing an additional charge for an assault that happened 5 hours prior.Todric McDonald was served with an aggravated assault warrant for an incident that happened in the 2300 block of Morrow.

According to Waco P.D., on May 12th shorty after 11 p.m. McDonald and another suspect, Tony Olivarez were involved in an altercation with a 31-year-old male victim.

The victim let McDonald and Olivarez into the residence where an escalating altercation occurred.

During the altercation McDonald and Olivarez are believed to have fired numerous shots with handguns inside the home and at the victim.

The victim was able to escape without being injured.

McDonald and Olivarez then fled the scene in a vehicle. McDonald was served with the warrant as he remains incarcerated in the county jail. Olivarez was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Task Force yesterday afternoon in a home located at 3312 Ferndale.
