Waco, Tx — A McLennan County Grand Jury has indicted a 25-year-old Chilton man on a murder charge.
Juan Francisco Segovia was arrested last month, after being arrested in Montague County. He was ordered held on a $250,000 bond for the murder charge and no bond was set for an immigration detainer.
Waco Police obtained a murder warrant for Segovia on June 5, 2013. With the assistance of the East Texas U.S. Marshal Task Force, officers were able to serve that warrant in Bowie, Texas on June 10.
Segovia was arrested at a motel in the Bowie area without incident. He was then transported to Montague County Jail until being transported to McLennan County Jail on Wednesday.
Segovia was wanted for the murder of 24-year-old Anthony Levell Degrate of Waco. The murder occurred in the 6400 block of Waco Drive, outside of the former Club Alazan, on October 14, 2012. It was the sixth murder in Waco in 2012. As of this arrest, all of the 2012 cases of Murder in Waco have been cleared by arrests.
