Man involved in Waco bank robberies sentenced to 15 years

The man involved with 3 bank robberies, over the summer in Waco was sentenced yesterday.

Joseph Trotter III was sentenced to serve more that 15 years in Federal prison. The 188 month sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith Jr. on Wednesday.

Trotter and his accomplice, Carol Denise Taylor, also known as Carol Washington, 47, admitted to robbing a Wells Fargo Banks located at 105 Wooded Acres Drive on June 26, another Wells Fargo Bank located at 300 Franklin Ave on July 8 and the Community Bank and Trust on July 11 located at 1800 Washington Ave.

The two were later arrested shortly after the Community Trust Bank robbery by Waco police.
Carol Denise Taylor was sentenced to 3 years in prison for her part in the robbery in December.
