Temple, TX — A 22-year old San Marcos resident has bailed out of the Bell County Jail after he allegedly pointed a gun at another driver during a fit of road rage.
Two drivers were driving south from Waco on I-35 Saturday.
One of the drivers called police after they claimed the other driver pulled a handgun out and started to point it at them.
Temple Police pulled over Johnathan Hartsock, 22, and arrested him on two misdemeanor charges- one for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and one Possession of Marijuana.
Corporal Christopher Wilcox of Temple PD said it's easy for road rage to escalate, but even easier to avoid it altogether.
“The best thing I can tell you is to just give people their space and drive courteous. Give people the same courtesy that you would want people to give to you," said Wilcox.
"Don’t tailgate and if you’re being tailgated, move over and let them drive around.”
Hartsock could eventually face for more charges in McLennan County.
