Man sentenced to 15 years in prison for shooting at a deputy

A Gatesville man who shot at a police officer found out just how long he will have to spend behind bars.

David Ray Sneed" has been order to serve 15 yeas in state prison. A Coryell County district court jury found him guilty in connection to a February 2013 shooting that involved a sheriff's deputy.

David Ray Sneed was arrested after authorities say he shot at a deputy who was trying to make an arrest in response to a family violence call from the day before. When deputies tried to confront Sneed, officials say he became "angry" and "hostile". After multiple law enforcement agencies surrounded Sneed's house, they managed to arrest him.
 

No one was injured in the shooting.
