McLennan County, TX — The McLennan County District Attorney is expected to recuse his department of prosecution duties relating to the case of a daycare owner who is accused of giving Benadryl to kids in her care.
Marian Illene Fraser, 49, is accused of giving a lethal level of Benadryl to a four-month old baby girl back in March.
After a thorough investigation, even more charges were issued for Fraser.
McLennan District Attorney Abel Reyna will be addressing media Tuesday afternoon, when he is expected remove his department from the case because he is personally acquainted with many of the parents involved.
To make the situation worse, the baby girl who died from Fraser's alleged actions is grandaughter of County Judge Scott Felton.
Instead, Tarrant County will reportedly handle the charges, and in return, Reyna's department will handle a case that Tarrant County recused itself from.
