Missing elderly Killeen man found safe

Mr. Bailey was located Monday afternoon and is in good condition.


Killeen Police are currently searching for a missing elderly man who disappeared from his home early this morning and has not been heard from since leaving for a walk.

Officers were alerted by family members Charles Prince Bailey, 69, has been missing from his home in the 1400 block of Westway since 6:00 a.m. Monday. Dr. Bailey suffers from alzheimers, dementia, diabetes and high blood pressure. He reportedly did not take his prescribed medication this morning.

Mr. Bailey is described as a black male with gray hair, who is about 5’4” tall and weighs 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark gray jacket, blue jeans, black or gray tennis shoes and a black hat with the wording “God is One Way” on it.

The Killeen Police Department is asking anyone who sees Charles Bailey or knows of his whereabouts to contact the Killeen Police Department at 501-8830 immediately. Please do not attempt to detain Mr. Bailey if he is seen as he could get violent with someone he does not know.
