Motorcyclist dead in multiple vehicle crash
Killeen, Texas (KWKT) — One person is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon.
Killeen Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened near the intersection of Stan Schlueter Loop and South Fort Hood Road around 3:30 p.m.
Officials arrived on scene and found that a car was driving eastbound on Stan Schlueter Loop waiting to turn left into the McDonald's parking lot when the driver of a truck traveling westbound in the inside lane stopped and motioned to the driver of the car to cross over.
The driver of the car began making the turn into a parking lot when a motorcycle that was traveling in the outside westbound lane struck the car and hit a Jeep that was exiting McDonalds.
Simon Navarez, 37, the driver of the motorcycle, was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and pronounced dead by an attending physiscian.
