Bruceville-Eddy, TX — Multiple kids were taken to a local hospital after a dump truck carrying a full load of rocks collided head on with a school bus taking students home for the day.
The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m.
A Bruceville-Eddy ISD school bus was going northbound on an I-35 access road near mile marker 318 when the dump truck appeared to have veered into the other lane, striking the bus with a large amount of force.
Bruceville-Eddy Police Chief Bill McLean said the female bus driver was taken to an emergency room by helicopter.
The bus contained kids ranging from elementary age to high school.
McLean said there were no fatalities at the scene.
The truck and the bus were pulled apart and towed away around 6 p.m.
More information regarding exactly what led to the wreck has not yet been obtained.
