At approximately 6:55am Hewitt Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the 200 block of West Warren Road. At about the same time officers were dispatched to a second crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian which occurred at Hewitt Drive and West Warren Road.

Upon the officers arrival to the vehicle/pedestrian crash they observed a white male, 25 years of age, who had been crossing Hewitt Drive had been struck by a black 2005 Pontiac Vibe traveling southbound on Hewitt Drive. The pedestrian received serious injuries and was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Pontiac Vibe was not injured. No charges have been filed against the driver of the Pontiac.

Hewitt Officers responded to the crash in the 200 block of West Warren Road and determined that a white 2011 Nissan Altima 4 door which had been traveling eastbound on West Warren had left the roadway and struck a tree. Hewitt Officers were able to determine the 25 year old victim in the vehicle/pedestrian crash had been a passenger from this vehicle who was attempting to return to his residence. Hewitt officers arrested Jason Paul Scott, a 30 year old white male and driver of the Nissan, for the Misdemeanor offense of Driving While Intoxicated after he was treated and released for minor injuries.

At approximately 7:41am while Hewitt officers were investigating the first two crashes a third vehicle crash occurred at Hewitt Drive and Warren Road. This crash involved two vehicles traveling northbound on Hewitt Drive. Hewitt officers investigated the third crash and determined a 2008 Ford Edge was struck from behind by a 2004 Toyota SUV as they were stopping at the red light. Neither driver was injured.
