Bryan, Texas (KWKT) — The 2013 Annual National Night Out will be this Tuesday, October 1, 2013. The kickoff event for National Night Out was held September 12th at the Bryan Target store and was a great success. Now it’s time to have your own block party. All residents are encouraged to step outside on this evening, meet their neighbors and visit with local law enforcement officers, who will be stopping at neighborhood block parties throughout the evening upon request. Block parties typically start after 5:00 p.m., and head into the evening hours. There will be a proclamation signing for National Night Out on Sept. 26th at 3:00 p.m., at the Brazos County Annex Building, 200 South Texas Ave. in Bryan. The goal of the signing is to encourage citizens to partner with law enforcement to fight crime.
