Cleveland, OH (CNN/AC360) — New photographs offer a glimpse of the life kidnapping suspect Ariel Castro was leading in his Cleveland, Ohio home. The pictures, taken over the weekend by a neighbor, show a cluttered yard filled with spools of barbed wire, plastic tarps and thick chains.
Castro is charged with four counts of kidnapping and three counts of rape. He's accused of abducting three young women in Cleveland and holding them captive for a decade before they escaped.
DNA testing indicates Castro fathered a daughter with one of the women. One of the photographs shows a child's barbie bicycle leaning up against the tree.
Others show how the windows of the home were boarded up long before police arrived, and how mirrors were hung outside to offer a constant view of the driveway.
