McGregor, TX — We’ve been covering the testing process of SpaceX’s Grasshopper prototype rocket for the past year.
And recently, the private space exploration company released its most impressive testing video yet.
Check it out here.
Shot from a remote control hexacopter, the video shows the launch of the Grasshopper, which SpaceX hopes to be the world’s first reusable rocket.
The Grasshopper reaches its highest point yet at 744 meters and then you can see the descent back to the original launching pad.
The ability to reuse a rocket will greatly cut down on overall costs.
Experts believe even more tests will come in the near future.
The SpaceX testing facility is just outside of Waco in McGregor.
