ROBERTSON COUNTY -- A major accident on US 190 and SH 6 shut down both lanes of traffic for several hours today.

DPS tells us they received a call around 2:30 about a white Mustang driving recklessly.

Before the vehicle could be pulled over, it crossed over into oncoming traffic near the weigh station in Robertson County and collided with the back of a truck's trailer.

The driver of the Mustang was pronounced dead on the scene.

No names have been released.
