Killeen Police are investigating an early morning shooting on Old 440 Drive.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting at 3:54 a.m. on Friday, August 16, in the 1200 block of Valentine Drive. Upon their arrival, they located a male victim, who had been shot in the legs while he was a passenger in a black BMW. Witnesses told the officers the BMW was stopped at the intersection of Old FM 440 and Jasper Rd, preparing to turn east onto Jasper Road. That's when a small dark colored pickup pulled up beside the BMW, on the driver’s side. Shortly thereafter, the occupant in the pickup began firing at the BMW. Several shots were fired until the BMW turned onto Valentine Drive, and the pickup continued north on Old FM 440. Once the BMW turned onto Valentine Drive and came to a stop, the victim realized he had been shot. He was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds. The driver was not injured in this incident.

There is no further description on the suspects at this time.
