Police find cocaine and a handgun in Temple home

Temple police arrested a 23-year-old, Marquell Linear, after finding crack cocaine in his home.

 On April 17th, agents with the Special Investigations Unit and Problem Oriented Police Services Unit served a narcotics search warrant in the 4600 block of Calle Nogal.

 Officers located an amount of a powdery white substance that they believed to be crack cocaine.

According to Cpl. Christopher M. Wilcox with the Temple P.D, the substance weighed approximately 17 grams was tested at the scene. The test came out  positive for cocaine. Agents also found a small amount of marijuana and a loaded handgun

The case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney on 5-14-2014 and a complaint issued charging Marquell Linear.
