North Richland Hills police announced Thursday that a missing 14-year-old girl was found in Mexico with suspect Stephan Cox, 26, as reported by Mexico law enforcement. Officials would not disclose their specific location.

Cox is charged with two counts of unlawful sexual contact with another minor from Pennsylvania whom he met online. It's alleged that Cox coerced the girl to steal her parents' SUV, drive to Ohio and meet him at a hotel.

Ruby Contreras, 14, did not return home from North Oaks Middle School in Haltom City on Wednesday, April 24.

Police reported the two were seen in a bus in El Paso together.

North Richland Hills police spokesman Keith Bauman issued an active Amber Alert on Tuesday.
