"Pray for West" t-shirts are bringing in thousands of dollars to assist residents recovering in West.

Since the shirt sales began last week, more than ten-thousand dollars have already been raised. 100 percent of the proceeds are going directly to relief efforts. The 15-dollar shirts are being purchased across the country, in states like California, Iowa, Ohio, Florida, and Oklahoma, just to name a few. Ten thousand shirts were donated to West EMS and the West Volunteer Fire Department last week. For Fat Daddy's Designs, the devastation in West is very close to home.

"Our boss, she lost her dad. And, we decided to print a few shirts and raise a little money. We didn't realize, at that time, that it was going to get so big. So, we've done over three thousand shirts now," said Heather Knight, assistant at Fat Daddy's Design.

Knight says the design of the shirts started off as a decal by Jeff Moore of Five1Seven Designs in Whitney. Her boss, she says, decided use the decal on t-shirts.

The company hopes to make just as much money selling the shirts this week as they did last week. They are currently filling an order of four thousand shirts and hope to donate more to volunteers on Wednesday.

Local sponsors are covering the cost it takes to get the shirts printed.
