Bryan, TX — A Bryan neighborhood received a scare when a man was spotted walking down the street holding a rifle.

On Wednesday, at around 1:00 p.m., the Bryan Police Department received a report of an armed man in the area of Copperfield Drive and Somerford Lane. The caller told authorities they were walking with a rifle.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the person of interest and determined the rifle was just a rubber gun used for training exercises, but police also found an illegal knife and handgun in his possession.

The suspect, Andre Saenz, 34, who has been previously convicted of a felony, was arrest and charged with felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful carrying of a weapon, due to the knife's blade being longer than 5 1/2 inches.
