Ryan Swope vying for EA Sports NCAA Football game cover

First it was "Heismanziel" mania and now it's "Vote for Swope."

"This past year has been awesome like with Johnny Manziel first and now this with Ryan Swope," said Aggie grad, Weston Shefcik. "It's just pretty exciting."

A&M wide receiver, Ryan Swope, is in the running to be on the cover of EA Sports NCAA Football game.

He's made it to the final two going head to head against Michigan's Denard Robinson but according to EA Sports' Facebook page, Swope is down by a few thousand votes.

That's where Aggieland Outfitters comes in to play; the store has started a campaign to get Swope in the lead.

"We've still got a week to go so that's why we wanted to do these shirts so people can wear them on campus and around town," said Dallas Shipp. "It can be a constant reminder to go vote for Swope, vote for Swope."

Whether you buy a shirt or not, the main goal is to get Swope ahead in the polls.

"With RG3 winning it last year, it'd be nice to keep the EA NCAA Football cover here in Central Texas," Shipp said. "Hopefully all Texans will ban together to keep the cover here."

The competition ends March 8th so you have one week left to make your vote count. To vote, click here.
