San Saba Police are asking citizens to be on the lookout for a man who has been impersonating an officer.
On June 14, around 11p.m. a victim was pulled over by a man driving an old white Ford Crown Victoria on County Road 406.The subject is described as a white male in his early 20's, 5'9, about 170-180 pounds with blue eyes and a thin beard. The man wore a baseball cap with the word "POLICE" and identified himself as Officer Watson.

The victim told police, two other occupants were  in the vehicle, but only the described male made contact with the victim.

Officers are trying to determine if this incident is related to a similar Hamilton case where motorist were stopped, assaulted and robbed.

Police are asking those with any similar incidents to contact the San Saba County Sheriff's Office or the San Saba Police Department at 911 or 254-325-371-5551.

Officers say, if a vehicle matching the description attempts citizens over,do not stop. Instead, activate the hazard flashers and pull to the side of the road slowly while calling 911 to report your location, vehicle and the other vehicle description.
