Sister Act: Texas women arrested for DWI after switching seats
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police arrested two sisters on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after authorities say the driver switched seats with her passenger before being pulled over.
According to EPPD, it happened on Sunday morning at 2:43 a.m. along the 1700 block of George Dieter Drive near Vista Del Sol Drive.
Police say 21-year-old Karla Garcia was driving a white 2009 Ford F-150 and speeding northbound on George Dieter when an officer tried pulling the truck over at an intersection nearby.
Investigators say the officer then saw Garcia switch seats with her 24-year-old sister, Valeria Garcia, who was the passenger.
Both sisters were drunk, according to police, with Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels greater than 0.15.
