Sunday night one-vehicle crash takes the life of one

The Killeen Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a one-vehicle crash that ended in the death of a young man.

It happened at 11:40 p.m Sunday night in the 6900 block of East Rancier Street, on arrival officers were told that a green truck had veered off the south side of the roadway.

The driver overcorrected and caused the truck to roll multiple times and ejected the driver.

The driver, Andrew Scott Anson, 23, was found in the field area and he was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.

Anson was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit where he later succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning.

This crash is still under investigation and information will be released as it becomes available.
