Teenager charged in deadly rollover crash

Bell County, Texas (KWKT) — The driver of a rollover accident that killed an 18-year-old back in March has been arrested by the Killeen Police Department.
Darrell Wayne Jones,18, has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
The one vehicle rollover crash that occurred on Becker Dr., during the early morning hours on Saturday, March 8.
Jones was driving a 2004 Land Rover Discovery when he failed to negotiate a curve in the 1400 block of Becker Dr.The vehicle left the roadway, hit two mailboxes, overturned, ejecting two of the passengers and injuring another two passengers.
The 18-year-old male passenger who was ejected, Jacob Jones, was transported to Scott & White Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Sunday, March 9, Jones succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:19 a.m. The 14-year-old female, who was ejected, is now at the Scott & White Children's Hospital in critical condition. The 17-year-old female and 14-year-old female passengers were transported to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, with non-life threatening injuries.
Jones remains at Bell County Jail in lieu of a $1 million bond.
