Temple, TX — Temple police are investigating after a convenience store was robbed twice in two days.
Police say the first robbery happened on Sunday, June 29, at about 12:34 a.m. Temple Police responded to the “Cefco Texaco Convenience Store”, located at 3805 South 31st Street, in reference to a robbery that just occurred. Officers arrived and met the victim, an employee, who said a man entered the store and displayed a handgun, demanding money.
The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled from the location southbound from the scene. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The victim was not injured during this incident.
The suspect is described as a black male 20 -30 years old, approximately 5-foot-7, and weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants, tan belt, and black shoes.
Then on Monday, June 30, police again responded to the “Cefco Texaco Convenience Store” 3805 South 31st Street, in reference to a robbery. In this offense the suspect approached and entered the store on foot from the south. The suspect pointed a black revolver at the clerk and demanded the victim open the register. The clerk complied and the suspect grabbed and unknown amount of money before fleeing the scene on foot southbound.
The suspect was described as a black male wearing a mask, gray button down style shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
