Temple ISD School Board hopes to raise tax rate
Temple, TX — Temple ISD School Board has called for a Tax Ratification Election (TRE), where they are hoping to increase taxes by $.08 to the current rate.
The additional $.08 per $100 value is $2,892,910. With the added money, the district plans to use toward purchasing new school buses, expanding the after-school program, implementing new technology, expanding the library, and more district enhancements.
Early voting on the issue began on September 4 and will continue through September 17. The election is set for September 21.
