Temple Police Department is looking for the man they say is responsible for robbing a female in a parking lot late Sunday evening.

According to police, a call came in on Sunday, at about 11:50 p.m., to respond to the parking lot of Summit Ridge Apartments, located at 5433 205 Loop, in reference to a robbery.

Officers arrived and met with the 21-year-old female victim. The victim advised she had arrived in the parking area of the complex at about 11:30 p.m. She stated that a black male approached her vehicle and knocked on the driver’s side window. The unknown male claimed to have an emergency, and asked the victim for the use of her cellular telephone. The victim handed her telephone to the male, and he produced a handgun from his pocket. The suspect demanded the victim’s wallet and money. The victim removed an undetermined amount of cash from her wallet and gave it to the suspect. The suspect was last seen entering an older model tan four door vehicle which fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle or the male.

The suspect is described as a clean shaven black male with a dark complexion. He stood about 6 foot, and is described as having a “medium” build. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Anyone with information about this offense is asked to contact the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500.
