College Station, Texas (KWKT) — The Texas A&M University System has announced a plan to promote preventative health care to better Texans' lives.
The Healthy South Texas 2025 program aims to reduce preventable diseases in South Texas by 25 percent by the year 2025.
The Program will also cut Medicaid costs associated with preventable diseases.
Texas 2025 will combine A&M's AgriLife Extension Service and the Health Science Center.
The diseases targeted by the program include diabetes and asthma.
