WACO -- Texas employers added jobs for the 20th straight month bringing the unemployment rate down to seven percent.
Nearly 11,000 jobs were added in March marking the 20th consecutive month of growth in the state's total nonfarm employment.
The state's manufacturing industry added nearly 3,000 jobs, which is an annual growth rate of 2.9 percent.
That's good news for Central Texas since the manufacturing industry makes up about 14 percent of Waco's employment.
The third highest employment sector behind government, and educational health and services.
