Two people are dead after two vehicles have a head on collision on Friday.

Officers were called to the 2400 block of N. Harvey Mitchell Parkway for a two vehicle collision. A jeep driven by Casey Richmond, 57, was traveling northbound when a Honda driven by Timothy Baldobino Jr., 26, was traveling southbound on a two lane road.

Based on a witnesses statement, Baldobino failed to maintain a single lane and veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reason. Richardson then made a faulty evasive action and swerved into the southbound lane to avoid a collision. Baldobino then corrected his actions and also swerved into the southbound lane causing the vehicles to collide and ended with them both in the grass on the southbound side of the parkway.

Baldobino was traveling with a 3-year-old girl at the time of the accident and was removed by a passerby. The child was taken flown to Dell Children's Hospital in Austin and was later released on Sunday, November 3.

Baldobino was extracted from the vehicle by Bryan Fire Department and was flown to St. Joseph Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Richmond's had caught fire and employees from Toyo Ink used extinguishers to put the fire out. He was later extracted from the vehicle and also flown to St. Joseph Hospital where he was also pronounced dead.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time.
