Two Waco Police officers injured Friday morning

WACO -- Two Waco Police officers were injured this morning after an SUV hit a car they were inspecting.

It happened around 2 a.m off MLK and I-35.

Two officers were inspecting a vehicle that had crashed when a GMC Yukon hit the car throwing both officers to the ground.

The driver of the Yukon, Timothy Donnell Robinson, 38 was arrested for intoxicated assault on a peace officer and possession of marijuana.

All three were taken Hillcrest Hospital for treatment and have since been released.
