Two women arrested after causing a car wreck while driving intoxicated

Police have arrested two women after a crash that sent 5 people to the hospital on Tuesday.
Erica Laday McVea, 25, is facing a two counts of endangering a child and Dameka Atinga, 24, is charged with driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, intoxication assault and injury to a child.
On Tuesday shortly before 9 a.m., officers responded to a report of a car wreck at East Waco Drive and Garrison St.

Police say, the driver,Atinga,was operating a vehicle while intoxicated when she crashed her car into another vehicle head on. Two child passengers were in the backseat during the crash, ages 2 and 6.
Both woman were taken to Baylor Scott & White along with the both children.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

Both woman are currently held at McLennan County Jail.
