Houston (KPRC) — The man accused of killing six family members, including four children, 'execution style' appeared before a judge Friday morning.
Ronald Lee Haskell, 33, made his first court appearance on a capital murder charge. During his court appearance, it appears Haskell collapsed twice to the floor. He had to be helped up by deputies, who then placed him in a chair and rolled him out of the courtroom.
Deputies say the lone survivor of the shooting, a 15-year-old girl, provided emergency responders with valuable information about Haskell's description and where he was headed next. Authorities were able to intercept Haskell at the girl's grandparents' house.
Haskell finally surrendered after a long police chase and swat standoff.
