Waco, Texas (KWKT) — Waco & the Heart of Texas is pleased to announce a new program beginning on July 1, the Heart of Texas Soul Series.
This new initiative has been created to engage citizens and visitors and encourage them to explore the region and chronicle their visit through photographs.
Participation is free! Interested parties should visit the Tourist Information Center, located at 100 Texas Ranger Trail, to sign-up and pick up their information packet. The packet includes a heart-shaped Waco & the Heart of Texas brand board, list of suggested sites, and contest rules.
Participants will receive certificates and prizes once they submit ten pictures for each of the five themed categories. The categories are Culture, Heritage, Sports, Nature and Lifestyle. Pictures will be posted to the Waco & the Heart of Texas Facebook page where fans may vote for winners in these categories and prizes will be awarded.
“The Heart of Texas Soul Series is a great way to get our community involved with the new brand,” said Elizabeth A. Taylor, Director for Waco & the Heart of Texas. “We encourage all citizens, as well as our visitors, to have fun, take lots of pictures, and show us their heart.”
