Waco , TX — Thursday, Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition, along with other agencies, came together for the Annual Project Homeless Connect event.
Each year, hundreds of people come out from around the Waco area, receiving free dental and vision screenings, haircuts, H-I-V testing, clothing give-a-ways, and more. The event is designed to help officials get an accurate count of those living homeless in Waco and provide hope and help those experiencing homelessness to get on the road to recovery.
The city of Waco is hoping to get another $763,000 grant like last year to help get homeless off the streets.
