A Waco man is in jail, after police say he caused life-threatening injuries to his 5-month-old son.

Christopher Franks is being held on a $500,000 bond on injury to a child charges.

Police say an incident occurred in December where the baby suffered injuries at a home in the 400 block of Owen Lane. The baby was taken to a local hospital, where it was determined the injuries were consistent with shaken baby syndrome. Hospital officials aren't saying what the baby's condition is at this point.

Franks was booked into jail on Friday.
